Server reboots when logging on from the console

We have a Win 2000 server and quite often it will reboot
when I log on to administrator from the console. To
unlock the console is ok; but if I have logged out and
try to log back in, a crash can occur.

Do I need to give more info about the server or is this a
simple issue.

You need to provide the STOP code.
Configure Control Panel / System / Advanced / Startup....
