Server Logon Prompt From IE

A user needs to edit our Intranet. She has permissions on the Intranet Share
and files. However, if she Browses to the site in IE and then clicks the FP
button, she is prompted for a server logon. If she first opens FP and then
uses "Open" to find and open the desired page, it works fine. Is there any
way to change the FP behavior so it does not prompt her for a server logon
when opening from IE? I don't recall this happening to the last user who
edited the Intranet.

Thank you.

Open web via IE7 - opens as a server based web
(http://servername/webname)? This requires a logon, unless the web URL
is listed in the IE Trusted or Intranet zones.

Open via FrontPage - is the web opened as a disc-based web (using a file
system address such as w:\webs\myweb)? This may not require a logon,
but will disrupt any FrontPage forms that are in the web. Or is the
page being opened as a loose page, rather than as a page in a web?
Again, no logon required, but links on the page will be disrupted.

IE 6 SP2

User is browsing to desired page in IE (http://intranet/page.html) then
clicking the Front Page Button on the IE tool bar. That prompts a server
logon. I am thinking I need to give her an account on the intranet server.

Add the website to the Intranet zone in IE, and set security to not
prompt for userID/password.
In IE:
Tools->Internet Options - Security tab
Click Local Intranet
Click Sites
Click Advanced
Add website (you may have to uncheck the HTTPS checkbox.
Click OK, OK to get back to security tab.
Click Custom Level
Scroll down to User Authentication and select appropriate option.
Click OK, click OK

She'll need an account with FP authoring permissions.
