Hello,

I have installed service pack 4 for Windows 2000 server
and now the server hangs randomly for no reason at all.

The dump I got is:
*** STOP: 0x0000001E (0xC000005,0xA00B8EDA, 0x00000000,
0x00000000)KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I can't find anything on technet, google, IBM, ...

Can some1 help me?

Best regards,
Carlo

A stop 1E is a good example of a driver malfunctioning,
which may be due to a bad printer driver. Can you
determine when this event occurs in relation to other
things occurring on the server? Can you reproduce this?

all drivers are up to date.
All was working fine untill I installed SP4.
Is their a way to uninstall SP4 when you don't have the
uninstall files any more?

The error occures when a user switches off his thin-client
without logging off and logs on again.

Carlo

Drivers being up to date has nothing to do with it. Some
drivers just aren't terminal services friendly, plain and
simple. If one of those drivers is malfunctioning, it'll
bring your server down really quickly.

If you don't have the uninstall files for SP4, then you
are out of luck.

However, this doesn't mean we can't troubleshoot this.
First off, can you force that user's session to not map
any printers, and then see if the problem still occurs?
