Server Going Berserk (video? motherboard? RAM?)

We have a server that is strictly used for virtualization (VMWare). It
started going berserk today. First known symptom was that its Windows
services were not responding correctly, and when we went to look at it
on the monitor it looked like the Matrix screen. We rebooted and tried
to log in but it started looking like the Matrix again. We turned it
off and waited for several minutes and rebooted and logged in and the
video was behaving erratically--menus and windows would not paint
correctly.

The system runs cool. This is a Dell server, a few months old. While it
is under warranty, I was curious about whether anyone has seen this
before. I suspect it's a video card issue but was wondering if a bad
motherboard, bad RAM, or a bad power supply could be the culprit? We'll
probably end up calling Dell anyway but, again, I was curious about
others' speculations.

Thanks,
Jon

If the video is a seperate card, i would blame it. If integrated, blame
RAM. I'm more inclined to blame RAM, because of the issue with
Services.
