Server Errors during authoring

Hi -

I've been authoring sites using FP 2002-3 for a couple of years now but have
recently been having problems with it thinking I have Sharepoint services
running on the development desktop.

Several times, when trying to save changes to a web on the hard drive, I've
been getting server timeout errors and/or indicators that say I've just saved
a page to the server. Of course, there are no servers out there. (Although
the desktop does have IIS running for a different application.)

This is new - I've been working on these same webs on the desktop for over
six months. All I know is that I can't open a the development web (no
folders found) without having to either shut down FP or worse, reboot the
computer.

Anyone know what's going on?

After reading a few old messages, I want to make it clear that I'm getting
these errors during normal "SAVE" file operations - not during publishing to
a server.
