I'm moving the database that runs PC Review on 14th May 2009, and there isn't a reliable way to do this without bring the server offline for a short period of time. I'm going to try and get it done as quickly as possible early tomorrow morning, but it could be as much as an hours downtime (hopefully more like 20 mins).

I'll keep you all informed once the move is complete :) I'm preparing the new setup today :D

edit : The move has been changed to 14th May :)

... ah, a lay in bed day.

Typical eh, that's the irony

I've delayed the server move for 24 hours till the 14th, as there is a security audit taking place just after the planned move, so it's best to wait till that is complete to ensure there isn't extra downtime :)

The server move is now complete! Things may be a little slower than normal until the new server is resolved properly with the new DNS records - until then, I'm re-directing from the old server to the new one (using the new database).

Well done Ian - everything is working very speedily at this end you were very quick to get PCR up and running again :D
