Server crashed can't add to forest

I had one of my server crash on me the other day and i
have to rebuild it from scratch. now when i try to readd
it to my tree again i get an error message the
name "xxx.xx.xx" is already in use on this network. is
there any way to force the tree to get ride of a domain
that dose not excesst any more. Please help.
