I am trying to update our website (www.sdsportsvoices.com)
using FrontPage 2002. When I connect to the website from
home via a cable modem or from work via a T1 conenction, I
am getting connection timeout errors from FrontPage and
not able to make any navigational changes (add a new page
or update the shared borders througout the entire
website). The navigational changes usually take a long
time for the RAQ4 to process and it appears the connection
between the RAQ4 and FrontPage is being prematurely
terminated.
Regarding what has recently changed since I was able to
make navigational changes in the past from home, this
website was recently moved from a dedicated RAQ3 to a
shared RAQ4. When it was hosted on the RAQ3, I never
received these timeout errors.
I have tried to isolate the conditions under which it is
happening and it appears to be related to the amount of
data FrontPage is trying to save. If I just create a new
page without any text or photos and save it, there is no
problem. But if I try to also add text or a photo and then
save the new page, I get the timeout error. When the error
occurs, I have to kill the FrontPage task on my computer
and then wait 15 minutes before trying to access the
website via FrontPage. If I try to access it before
waiting, I get the same error message: Server error: Web
<Root Web> is busy, please try again.\" I have encountered
this problem using different ISPs (cable modem access and
T1 access).
