Our server suddenly automatically reboot at mid-night.

We found that when we use any virus scanning tools, it will suddenly "blue
screen" and reboot.

In Event Log, the following message is shown:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.
The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0x8046b177, 0x00000001,
0x00000062). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195].
A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\MEMORY.DMP.

how can I trouble shoot this problem?

Ivan

I have done it and see if the server still auto blue screen + reboot.

However, this does not happen before and the other server also use the same
virus tools and does not have such problem.

If the Event Log so such bug check, how can I know what's matter?

Run the machine without the virus scanner for a day or
two. If the virus scanner causes the problem, use a
different scanner.

Perhaps if you clarify a bit someone will have an idea.

You say "automatically reboot at midnight" and "when we use any virus
scanning tools".

So do you mean the system crashes always at midnight while an A-V
scanner is running and not otherwise. Or it crashes at midnight and
any time an on-demand scan is initiated.

Any Tasks scheduled at midnight? Do the "any" A-v's attempt to
update at midnight?

OS? SP? Hardware different than other servers? A-V tools used? Is
a UPS used? ...
