Running VSNET Ent on XP pro
Framework version 1.1.4322.0
Debugger locked up (I had the machine.config open), I
stopped the process aspnet_wp.exe from the task manager.
I got an error on the page I was working on that didn't
look right, so I closed everything shut down and rebooted.
now ASP.NET doesn't work, Message in the event veiwer
reads:
aspnet_wp.exe could not be started. The error code for
the failure is 80004005. This error can be caused when
the worker process account has insufficient rights to
read the .NET Framework files. Please ensure that
the .NET Framework is correctly installed and that the
ACLs on the installation directory allow access to the
configured account.
I fixed framework 1.1, then removed and reinstalled 1.1
tried running "aspnet_regiis.exe -i" and reregistering
"aspnet_isapi.dll", tried increasing the permissions the
ASPNET account has on the MS.net framework directory,
tried changing from "Machine" to "System"
any help would be greatly appreciated, considering wiping
VSNET, from the System an reinstalling everything.
