Server 5 User License

I have always wondered and I know I may sound like an
idiot, but I have bought Windows 2000 and 2003 Server
software with 5 user licenses.

What are these licenses and how do you use them? I have
never set these up and have servers running several years
without setting them up.

During installation, you are asked how you
want to set up licensing "Per Seat" or "Per Server".

Depending on what you selected, you may or may not be
in compliance with licensing.

Read through the link below to try to understand (I find
it not so easy myself sometimess) the info there and call
Microsoft - or one of the VARs like CDW or similar to help
you get the licensing you need.
