I setup a connection with a server 2003 ras.
After I had made the connection I can only reach the ras server not the
other servers which are on the same subnet.
I can also resolve the hostnames of the other servers and sometimes I
can reach them after I reconnect 3 or 4 times.
When I trace the route to the other servers I can reach the internal
ras adapter and there it stops.

We need more information to help. can you ping the other remote computers by IP? If not, have you enabled IP routing.

I am having the same problem, but with dial-up RAS. When I get
connected I can only ping/connect to the RAS server and the IP address
I receive from the RAS server. The RAS server is just setup for Dial-up
access. I have tried setting it up on multiple servers but they all
have the same result.

I never post replies and I am trying to become a better blogger =). Th
reason you can't ping past the server is because it doesn't do a looku
on the DNS. I have setup many vpn's several with windows and severa
with a pix and used IAS to authinticate. The best way I have found t
setup a vpn client to access any computer/server inside is to setup
seperate host and/or lmhost file. You can even write a logon script t
do this for you. anyway the way to do this is to go to the vpn clien
computer and navigate to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc directory an
put a line showing the ip address of the computer your wanting to reac
then tab over and put in the hostname you use. What happens is befor
your computer tries to lookup the hostname it checks this file an
attempts to connect that way first. if the hostname is not found i
will move to netbios then DNS server. After you have created a goo
lmhost and host file I would write a batch to copy this to all user
when they login just incase they ever try to VPN in.
Thats all for now if you have questions let me know.
