Heres the issue:
The server is a Dell PowerEdge 2500 hot swap capable.
the first 3 drives make up a RAID 5 config.
The problem comes in when we try to add two more identicle
hot swappable 36 gig Seagate drives. These drives are
added as normal drives and not part of the RAID each one
is given there own label and drive letter. Also, the RAID
controller sees them just fine as Legacy containers. Both
drives are formated with NTFS and SBS 2000 has no problem
seeing either one of them as long as they are in the
server one at a time. The problem arises when we try to
install both of them in the system at the same time. When
we do this SBS 2000 will only see one of them and not the
other even though the controller sees both of them just
fine as the system is booting up.
Does any one have any suggestions as to why this would
happen?
Thanks in advance!
