Please help me! I have been working on this movie for 10 months to show to
my parent's 40th Anniversary party this month. My initial goal was to burn
it to a CD and share it with my family. It is about 20 minutes long with
about 5 songs with only still photos and mimimal titles and credits.

WMM will not let me save it without that elusive message that my movie
cannot be saved to the selected location. I went to PapaJohns website and
tried all the suggestions in the problem solving folder for "Can't save
movie". I have tried saving it my computer, to a CD, and to a jump drive.
Nothing works and I've been working on the saving issue for 3 weeks now
without luck.

I cannot install the WMM 2.1 because I am not permitted to install Service
Pack2 because it is not currently compatable with my work network.

Can anyone help me please?

Can you install photostory 3? This is designed with slide shows in mind and
may just work out better??? Otherwise, which format are the pictures in?
What sizes are they? How many?

I don't have photostory3--is that a free download or something I would have
to purchase? If so, how much does it run?

I scanned most of the pictures in using Microsoft Photo editor and saved
them as JPEG files. There are 220 still photos in JPEG form in the movie.

The music was copied direct from CDs into Windows Media Player files on my
hard drive. There a total of 5 songs.

Thanks for your help.

I have successfully saved a file containing one photo and no music.

How can I piece together my movie (220 photos and 5 songs and a few title
pages) when I have the songs spliced fading into each song? I saw your
suggestion on your site, but I don't know how to do it successfully.

Thanks for your help.

I was finally able to save the file as a movie! Here are my steps to
success: 1) I saved the music alone as a file; 2) I split the photos into 3
separate files and saved them individually as movies; 3) I imported the 4
files into a new project (some cleaning up needed); 4) FINALLY, I was able to
save it as one file.

My original file was just too big for WMM to handle.

Thanks for all your help and I hope this helps others save their movies.
