serious problem

i attempted an install of vista, but the computer was restarted and then when
it said it was undoing the changes dont restart it was restarted again, (the
computer has two hard drives) I've switched between both hard drives without
the other attatched neither will boot now, i cant get either to boot with the
vista disk to do a clean install, i need to know what i can do to fix this
problem, any help would be appreciated, hopefulyl i wont have to buy a new
hard drive

Time to format and install. You won't be able to boot that system now. If
you need to recover data you could install a different HD and install there,
then reconnect the old drive as a slave.

I ran some tool off my XP disk to fix the boot problem and it worked. It is
at a DOS prompt something like 'fixboot' or 'bootfix'. Type 'help' at prompt
to get the menu of tools. DO NOT run the fix MBR however!
