You did make a copy of your PST before you ran scanpst? Or did you at
least check to make a backup of it when scanpst ran? How many times did
you run scanpst?
Did you use scanpst from Office 2007 or an earlier Office version?

Sorry I put this in the wrong place.
In the hours of research I found many suggest scanpst.exe could be the
problem
Apparantly, this may be the cause of my problems. Scanpst.exe may not be
reapiring a corrupted Outlook.pst file.
Please confirm with your sources.
BTW - I could copy the Outlook.log here if that helps. Let me know.
Thanks
:
Crashed then re-opened with no preview pane.
:
What happens if you use File, Open, Outlook Data File and open that PST?
If you don't get a crash, close & reopen Outlook then. Crash or no
crash?

Just one PST file. The size is 3,500.00 KBs
:
How many PSTs with data (email, contacts) do you have? Just one? If more
than one, how many are just archive PSTs?

Thanks for hanging around to help me. What do I do next?
:
Does it crash when you make a new profile without any of your current
data files as part of it?

Hi Laura
Being that it is a clean hard drive it has a new OS and the only installed
application is Office 2007 which included Outlook 2007.
BTW there are no 3rd party Plug-ins
:
make sure that you only have the one version of OUTLOOK on your computer.
