I apologize if an answer to my problem is in a FAQ somewhere, but I am have
been trying to repair my outlook for days now and I am only making it worse.
Briefly, I could get forwarded pop mail, but Outlook would not connect with
my exchange server (4smartphone.net). However, it works fine on my phone, so
I know the problem must be in Outlook. I deleted my Exchange Server profile
and wiped out everything and now Outlook won't even open. I have downloaded
OutlookTools 2.1 and tried to regenerate my .pst and .ost files, but Outlook
still won't open. All of my contacts, messages, et cetera are still on my
exchange server. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
Basically, I don't understand why I can't connect to my server, and even if
I get outlook running again (I've even tried the /resetfolders and /firstrun
switches.) how will I be able to safely pull my old info off the server
without writing over it with my newly blank files. Thanks for any help you
can offer.
