change the boot screen of my computer. well the
bootscreen changed but it does nothing after it. it just
goes blank. I'v etried everything I can think of and I
am to the point of I installed a second version of XP on
my system to try and access the first.....when i tery to
goto my files i see them but access is denied. how can i
fix this?

I know XP sucks and i should use Win 98 blah blah
blah.......so i don't need ay smart ass comments like
that, i just need some help.

Thank you very much

okay well i can't boot up the original XP version still.

i need to change the boot screen back somehow and make
this thing boot up. when i try and boot it up in safe
mode the scrolling stops at this line,

"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)windows\system32
\drivers\Mup.sys"

and won't boot up. this has become the most frustrating
thing i have ever dealt with.

Try a Repair Installation:
Repair Installation:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_repair_install.htm
Windows Updates will need to be reinstalled.
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
Install Service Pack first and by itself.
Then install ALL Critical Updates no more than 4 at a time,

Disconnect the network/modem cable before starting repair and do NOT
reconnect the cable until repair is completed and firewall is
installed/enabled.
