Hello

1 out of 3 shutdowns I get an “illegal operation†message saying explorer
caused an invalid page fault in module<unknown> at 0000:10026160…….

My screen goes blue quite often now with an error message about this and that.

Often when I start it goes into safe mode, and also on a lot of starts if
goes to that active desktop recovery white screen thing.

And also the computer’s slowed down, and is not as responsive.

I’m certain its not a virus, ad-aware and spybot came up with nothing, and
nothing dodgy is running if I go alt ctrl delete to get that box.

I have win 98 with explorer 6.0

Can anyone help? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.
