Serious Error

At least once EVERY DAY, I get a message that tells me
my system "has just recovered from a serious error."
The problem points to an unknown driver, but doesn't say
WHICH driver is causing the crash. I uninstalled a webcam
I had recently installed, but, obviously, THAT wasn't the
culprit. My 'puter is only a little over 1 year old. It is
an "emachines 1440" with 1.4 gig CPU, 128 Megs RAM, and a
40 Gig HD.....run by an Intel Celeron operating system.
I admit that I am semi-illiterate, computerwise, but
I need your help before I get pissed off!....Thank you,

which version of aol are you using? i used to get this with aol 7 and had to
go back to aol 6. eventually i got rid of aol altogether because their
software messes around with your computer too much for my liking and i don't
like the way they force you to use their e mail program.

anyway, does your event viewer show any info? start>control
panel>administrative tools>event viewer>

look under system and see if any errors are listed. also try start>control
panel>system, and under the 'advanced' tab go to 'start up and recovery'

tick the box 'write an event to the system log' and untick the
'automatically restart' box. then see if you get any errors in the event
viewer.

also try this,

start>run> and type 'sigverif.exe'

this will identify any unsigned drivers on you system and may identify your
problem.
