The first time an MS-DOS Batch file is run from a desktop
icon the security popup appears asking if you want to
allow this batch file to run (with a check for always,
etc.) If you reply "YES" then batch file runs
in "windows\system32" regardless of where it actually
really lives on your hard drive. So if you, like me, have
a batch file icon to clear a directory, or move files, and
you respond YES to this popup then you're going to affect
those files in "windows\system32" and not your intended
directory.
Ouch!
