Hi I've got a serial ATA hard drive but my motherboard doesnt seem to have
the connection. Can I still install it with a normal IDE cable and will it
recognise it as a ATA hard drive.

Thank you in advance

Tim

Does it have a paralell ATA connector? If not, you need to get a PCI
SATA adaptor, if not upgrade to a SATA motherboard.

The connectors are very different. You can get a PATA to SATA adapter, or
get a PCI SATA controller.
