Erik

we have a AMD 64 bit chip system recently setup in our
store. For some reason during boot up and post, it says no
device found and no bios installed. I grabed the floppy
that had the drivers for the serial controller and
interfaced it with windows with my xp cd in the tray. I
booted to CD rom..and selected the option to install 3rd
party drivers(i think f6).. and it installed both drivers
for xp. After this it still did not work. When i enter
bios to check the boot sequence.. it gives me the option
to boot to the serial ata drive.. but.. it wont do it.. i
dont get it. Im wondering if thers anything i can do?

Thanks

There's one more thing you should check in the bios. Even though you can
put the SATA hardware in your boot sequence, that doesn't mean the SATA
hardware is enabled on your motherboard. Look under "Integrated
Peripherals" on your motherboard bios and check to see if your SATA
hardware is "enabled" or "disabled". Make sure it is enabled, then exit
and save changes.
