Maybe someone can help. Just built a computer, Asus P4PE. I also have a
Maxtor 120 Gig SATA that I haven't installed yet. I also have a primary and
secondary HDD. I have a dual boot, Windows XP Professional on one HDD and
Windows 2000 Professional on the other. Now, I would like to use the Serial
ATA as the primary boot with XP and one of the other drives Maxtor 80 Gig as
primary ide device. My concern is how do I configure these two drives.
This is my first computer I've built . So any thing you can offer as a help
aid will be greatly appreciated. So that's one Primary ATA with Windows
2000 Professional and the other Serial ATA with Windows XP Professional.
Does that make sense? There must be a way to do this.

Thanks a lot - Moscoe J

Yeah, you can either reinstall XP on the new HD or transfer it to the new
hard disk, then you need to set up the boot.ini to point to the relevant
places. You can probably leave the NTLDR (BT Boot Loader) installed on both
drives, and edit the boot.ini of the drive that is currently booting from
(depending on your boot order).
