Unfortunately, I'm not an expert in the new class of hard drives (sATA),
but there are a few questions that can be asked to get you along your way:

If the sATA card is an addon (i.e. PCI), then are the drivers installed?
If the sATA is integrated onto your motherboard, does it require drivers?
Under your Device Manager (Start | Control Panel | System | Hardware Tab |
Device Manager button), does it show your sATA controller there?

If any of these need to be corrected, do so. If all of these conditions are
met, then you might want to check the support sections of the sATA
controller manufacturer first, and then the motherboard manufacturer second
(if they're seperate entities/products).

Hopefully some of this helps. :)
