I am attempting to load windows 2000 Pro onto a serial ATA
drive (Maxtor 120 GB). but I can't get win 2000 to find
the drive, it gives me the error that there is no drive
available. I am told there is a controller driver that I
need to accomplish this task. Can anyone help! All help
greatly appreciated!

I'm running a AMD 2800+. with a nvidia chipset, and I've
looked for the driver within their website, with no luck.
any other suggestions.

Fixing this problem depends on what you're using for a
SATA interface. I have an ASUS A7V8X motherboard, with
onboard SATA interface, and I have to set up a one-drive
RAID system to use the SATA drive. So, check with the
manufacturer of your motherboard for the answer.

Thanks for all your suggestions but the real truth is the
drivers come with the motherboard. I loaded them to a
floppy. then attempted anothere install hit F6 for third
party drivers and win2K is loaded and updated with
perfection...It took a while to figure which drivers would
work but it's workinf just fine..

Thanks!
