Can Movie maker separate audio and video from each other? I want to delete
the video, keep the audio, and put a different video with it. Or take out
part of the audio on a specific clip. I've done it with other editing
softwares. Can it be done with movie maker?

In Windows Movie Maker 2.1....
To save only the audio track of a video clip...
drag the video to the "Audio/Music" track.
Then go to...File / Save Movie File / ect...ect......

This will result in a .wma audio file. Be sure
to drag the clip all the way to the left on the
timeline or you will have dead air at the
beginning.

Then the file can be reimported and used like
any other audio file.

John,
...And Shira for raising the question.

I'd like to thank you very much for this Gem....I have many Clips from which
I would like to make a seperate music file. Thanks

Could I ask....I have DVD's with good music. Unable to find Name of
discs/tracks etc...I thought if I could get this music (from DVD) into W
Media Player it might be possible to find out what disc the track came from?
Would you know if this is possible?
