I have my own account set up on windows mail and have tried to set up a
seperate account for my wife to use. She has her own seperate email address
with her own password. I have set up the seperate account with seperate
passwords from mine. However as soon as I open Windows mail it downloads her
mail to my inbox (mine is the default account). How do I make her mail go to
her inbox and mine go to my inbox??? I was previously using Outlook express
and never had any problems.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi HammerMan,

You have a few options that you can choose from.

1. You could add a new folder under the Inbox for your wife's account
and setup a message rule to direct her account's email to that folder.
This can be a pain to setup and maintain though.

These next two are easier to do.

2. Create a new separate user account in Vista for your wife and setup
her email account in Windows Mail in that user account instead of yours.
You two will then have separate user accounts that you can logon to in
Vista and have your own settings in each.

3. You could switch to Windows Live Mail Beta 2 (WLM) instead of
Windows Mail. It supports Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX: Hotmail) email,
and is a lot more stable. Plus, WLM will minimize to a tray bar icon and
has a separate Inbox for each account. WLM will automatically import
Windows Mail messages, accounts, and settings into it. _Contacts_ will
have to be manually imported from within WLM. (Tools, Contacts, File,
Import, Address book for current Windows User.) To see the _Menu_bar_,
press ALT+M and check "Show all menus".

For US and UK (32 bit Vista):

For US and UK (64 bit Vista):
'Windows Live Beta 2 Suite Downloads'

For non-US and non-UK locations (direct download):

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hi Shawn,

Thanks very much for your help, I really appreciate it. I will create a new
user account for her to use and setup her email client in there. Thanks
again,

James.
