I am trying to get a separator page set up for a network printer with
multiple users. I am using the separator page button in the printer
drivers to indicate the page.

I am using the already coded "sysprint.sep" located by default in
windows\system32 (winxp) as a base and it works just fine.

What I can't figure out is how to get the separator page to print from
a separate tray (will have colored paper).

Any of the code I have found to do so so just errors out (I'm not sure
if it's the wrong code or if I am putting in the wrong place), and I am

not getting anywhere with this. I would appreciate any tips!

Thanks so much!

Tribble-

This sounds familiar. You or someone else asked the same question a while back.

Some HP printers let you specify what kind of paper is in which tray.
Then, if you try to print on a different kind of paper than any previously
specified, it expects to find it in the hand-feed tray.

Using the printer's front panel controls, try changing the paper type
specification for the tray with the colored paper, perhaps to "recycled"
or "bond", whichever is different from the paper in the usual tray.
Printing the separator on the different kind of paper, should force the
printer to use the correct tray.
