There is a help or FAQ topic on this site dealing with voice overs and separating audio and video. You plug a microphone into your computer and click on the microphone icon above the storyboard in MM. Check out the help topic; I am sure it will help.

Use the "Narrate" feature to do the voiceover. ( Tools | Narrate

Then adjust volume levels or mute the audio from the video
