I have been getting frustrated with Outlook 2000 SP3 IMO
(with XP Pro, and ADSL connection)as it regularly stops
responding after say 4 of 36 emails downloaded. After
closing Outlook app (and sending countless error reports)
and re-opening, all the files are now displayed in INBOX,
but Outlook doesn't realise this and starts downloading
again from ISP's mail server, then it locks up again, and
process is repeated!! I suspect Outlook 2000 has become
corrupted, as it was Ok after I created new user for a
month or two. Outlook Express doesn't have this problem,
and I had to use this today to clear mail server.

Outlook 2003 looks interesting (good presentation on
Microsoft site). Can I install on a different logical
drive so that I can keep Outlook 2000 in case problems
with Outlook 2003 beta - default install will remove
Outlook 2000. (Does Oulook 2003 also need Outlook Express
installed?)

No, you can have only one version of Outlook installed on the machine. Outlook Express is still required, because of the shared components.
