You can also set up different hardware profiles, in the System applet in
Control Panel. A profile can be selected at boot up. And, it's possible to
change icon sizes too: Control Panel>Display>Appearance>Effects>Use Large
Icons.

People,
My son and his girlfriend share a PC laptop with Windows XP
Professional. Due to poor eyesight, she needs a lower resolution display
in order to clearly see the screen. Is it possible to set up separate
accounts such that she can have a lower resolution setting and he can
have a high resolution setting? If so, how is it set up? Note: they
figured out how to set up separate font sizes but the icons and screen
details are still a problem.

Thanks in advance.
John

FYI - without 3rd party intervention, all profiles use the same screen
resolution, regardless of which profile sets it - this has been a standard
since the NT days, which Win2k/XP are based upon.

Admiral,
Are you then saying that we can't get there from here without additional
software or hardware (i.e something other than Windows XP)?
