Are Frontpage .dwt dynamic pages indexed by search engines?

is it better to use shared borders or dynamic pages?

Pages w/ a DWT applied are normal html page and are indexed
The DWT template should not be indexed
- especially if you put it in a folder excluded by the your robots.txt file and add a NoIndex to it's meta tags

You don't actually need the dwt *on* the server. Since when you attach the
template, it copies the DWT code over to the page you've applied the
template to (you can see it - in yellow highlight in the code view).

Therefore the issue is not really applicable?
 
Unless you work on the server online and need to change the DWT

It is better to use a dwt with fp includes for menus ... they are fully
indexed.
If you work on your disk based web then publish mark the .dwt Don't publish
it's better security wise.

Shared borders give less control and are old hat.
