I am still unable to send mail with windows mail, has there been a solution?
Can someone help me please???

I am also having problems with sending emails with mail - until yesterday it
was fine. I don't have Macafee. Any suggestions?

First thing is to remove McAfee or Norton AV and antispam from the computer
if they exist. You may need to visit their website to fully uninstall the
product. Then get something less invasive. There are a number of free
antivirus programs, but with any you have to disable email scanning. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

You can also try compacting and repairing the database using my WMUtil
program (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

After that, the only solution so far is to wipe out the database. So go to
Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance | Store Folder to find the message
store location. Then move everything under that Windows Mail directory to
another directory, so that the Windows Mail directory is completely empty.
Then restart WinMail and it will open fresh with nothing
in the database. You can then add your accounts and if they work correctly
then you can use File | Import | Messages and choose WinMail format and
point to the directory to which you moved the files.

Gary, I don't see why the anti virus is even applicable or something to worry
about here when the person and also myself mentioned that we don't have anti
virus working on our machines. I cannot send out mail at all and I get no
error messages or anything to work on or look into. This sucks! Where is the
Microsoft help? Those Apple commercials are no joke at all and they are
correct 100%.

Because if an anti-virus scans and changes an EML file before it gets saved
then the WinMail database gets screwed up.

You originally stated that you don't have McAfee.
That's NOT the same thing as not having any antivirus!
There are many other antivirus programs besides McAfee.

I'm not very savvy either, but I found that entering my aol mail account onto
microsoft mail at least gives me a usable way to send messages and pictures
from inside of programs. For instance, when I click email from within
windows photo galoery or pictures it will go to microsoft mail but my aol
acount pops up. The only thing I get afterwards is an error message that
says it was unable to post to my sent folder. Thats true for the local
folder, but when I open the sent folder in the sidebar under aol the sent
message is there. I only do this because it saves the hassle of jumping from
one plade to another when trying to send. Don't know if this helps but for
what its worth.
