Please help, have only had Vista and Mail for a short while, have been
receiving e-mails ok, but when sending they are clogging up the outbox and do
not appear to be sending, i've got nearly 30 in there and don't want to
delete them, but need to work out how to send them

I am having the same problem. I can receive emails but when I try to send an
email an error message occurs. I have not had this problem until today.

Drag all the ones that will move into the Drafts folder. At least one
message will probably refuse to move. If you can't delete that one,
go here for the fix:

I've dragged all messages into Drafts and that has done exactly as you've
suggested, wouldn't move one of them, I've then followed your link to fix,
but hasn't made any difference, any other suggestions?

Exactly what happened when you tried that fix?
Did you read the instructions for using the WMUtil program?

Gary VanderMolen

Does the Clear Outbox button in WMUtil not remove the outbox entry?

Also what is the error message you get? Are your SMTP settings correct
under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers?

I followed the on screen info, but the three top boxes were not available!
Forgive me, i'm 8 1/2 months pregnant so a lot slower than usual. I
downloaded the file, then couldn't find the .exe file? help!!!!

Hi, it doesn't give the option to click on this, and i'm not getting any
error messages? I'm in a real pickle!

Tight click on taskbar, choose Task Manager, Processes tab, highlight
winmail.exe and click End Process button and then try again.

Ahem....
That's RIGHT click

Have done that, but still no joy, when i try to run the link, even after
right click on taskbar, choose Task Manager, Processes tab, highlight
winmail.exe and click End Process button and then try again it's just not
giving me any of the options in "Database Utilities".

Reboot the computer and before you start WinMail, try it again.
