I had a problem today where many of the emails I sent ended up in my outbox
and I'm assuming they never got to the recipient. could this be due to a
server overload? the emails didn't appear in my outbox until much later
after I sent them. HELP Please.

Richard I have posted a similar message. For last two days, my msges are
going to outbox but do not get sent. I have opened and pressed send and I
get an error message "Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail
address in your Account Properties". I do not know to get to Account
Properties or e-mail address.
If you know how maybe you can try it and if it works send me the steps you
took.
Please send your response to "(e-mail address removed)" or (e-mail address removed).
It is easier than navigating thru this labeynth of instructions from
Microsoft to get here.

WHat type of account? What version of Outlook? Do you get any errors when
you click Send/Receive? Have you enabled diagnostic logging to see what's
happening between Outlook and the server?

I have Outlook 2003
I have seen no errors, when sending or receiving email
As for Diagnosic logging, don't know what it is, not that far advanced. I
turned the problem over to our Tech support people to figure out. they seem
to think that I have exceeded my mailbox limit and have to archive some
folders. hopefully they will get it fixed.

You still haven't said what type of account but this makes me lean toward
Exchange.
