We have in the company Windows 2000 Server. When I check
the status window ,when we are in internet , the sent
bytes are higher than received, although there is nothing
actually to sent. What is the reason ?

Generically speaking, whenever computers communicate with each other they
negotiate the speed and amount of information that will be sent before
sending an acknowledgment that data was received. So even though a user
doesn't send information on purpose, the computers still send data to each
other so they can communicate effectively. Yours may be doing more than
that, but they all send at least some data.

There is always traffic sent by both sides of a connection. You could use
Netmon to see what traffic is actually going from server. --- Steve
