In WindowsXP-Home how does one add the CD-RW drive(E:\)
to the "SendTo" menu? Please advise. Thank you for your
help.
The folder for the "Send To" items is here:-
C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\SendTo
You need to create a shortcut in there for the CD drive but just
dragging the CD icon from My Computer and creating a shortcut that way
will not usually work.
Go to blank area of desktop, right click and select:-
New -> Shortut
A new window comes up asking you to "type the location of the item".
In the box enter:-
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /n,x:\
For the "x" above replace it with whatever drive letter you want. EG
for D: Drive use:-
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /n,d:\
Click next.
Now it asks for a name for the shortcut. Name it what you want, eg
"CD DRIVE"
Click Finish.
Now drag that new shortcut into your "Send To" folder.
