This thing was working up until 2am CST last night. That is when I sent my
last
email. Now, I can't get it to send any emails. I can receive, but not send.
I disabled the Norton, but still nothing. (BTW, why did it come on the dumb
computer with Vista if it isn't compatible?)

Disabling Norton is not sufficient. It must be uninstalled.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, test
your email sending. If it still does not work, the account
has been corrupted by Norton. Delete the account, restart
Windows Mail, then recreate that account.

At your convenience, download and install a more compatible
antivirus like the free Avast:

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

Gary,
I uninstalled Norton. Still isn't working!!! Do I need to uninstall All
the Symantec option things? This is a BRAND NEW COMPUTER. Why did this
happen? I have only had it like 10 days.

What other "Symantec option things" have you got left?
They are probably related to the antivirus product and
should all be uninstalled. Symantec makes a removal tool
available, since their regular uninstall is very sloppy and
ineffectual:

Next, since Norton has probably corrupted your mail account,
delete that account from Windows Mail, restart, then recreate
that account.

If you still get an error message, copy it, then paste it into
a reply here.
