hi,
is it possible to compose an email but have my computer send it at a later
specified time, maybe out of my Drafts Folder? for example, say i compose an
email one evening but don't want the recipients to recieve it until the
following morning ~ can i set my computer to somehow automatically send it
the next morning?

thank you!
michelle :)

oh, maybe that's why i was thinking i could do this somehow since i used to
have outlook...although i never tried sending a time-delayed email using it.
but perhaps i saw something about how to do this on outlook.

thanks, dave.

You could do this via scheduled tasks. (Start | Programs | Accessories |
System Tools | Scheduled Tasks). Compose a message and then go to File |
Work offline and send the message to the outbox. Then go to Tools | Options
and check the option to send and receive at startup. Then close WinMail and
in IE go to File | Work online. Then for the schedule WinMail to start when
you want to send the message, and when it starts it will send it.

You might test that first, but it should work.

That would likely be inconvenient if it were done prior to the last use of
Windows Mail and would require that the person (Michelle or whoever)
remember to do it at the end of the day and it would require that Windows
being up and logged in at the time the messages are to be sent. Otherwise it
is likely to work well.

I am not totally sure, but I think it is possible to write a script to do
what you are asking. The part I am not sure of is if the required software
is present without Outlook. I won't bother with details unless you are
interested.

So that was an option that she could use to do that, without telling her
that she couldn't do it with WinMail and needed to buy Outlook.
