Sending pop up messages .

I am wondering if there is a feature in XP that allows
network users to send messages between workstations in
house like winpopup did in Windows 98?
 
You can use net send at the command line, but many people have this turned
off since the bad folks discovered messenger service spam. It's probably
easier just to grab a full featured IM client.
 
You can use the good old NET SEND command from XP just like in previous
versions of NT, as long as the Messenger service is running on the clients.
