I sometimes get a Outlook calendar invitation as an attachment to an e-mail.
Click it and you can save it to your calendar. I can't find any instructions
for that. Inserting a calendar item or dragging it to the e-mail doesn't
work. The attachment looks OK, but if you click it and save it it doesn't
show up on your calendar. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Create the appointment/meeting item and save it to your desktop as an ical or vcal (guess depends on version) - then create a new mail message and insert it. Ensure the incoming email is in your default message store when you open and double click on the item.
