Sending messages

I just installed Outlook 2003 and when i click the send/receive button, Outlook try to send some (2 or 3) messages although i do not prepare any message to send and there is no message in the folder "Outbox". How can i solve this problem

Where do you see that it is trying to send those messages? Note that a
send/receive task in not the same aas sending/receiving a message. The task
is the checking for new mail which has a progress bar as well.

I see it in both the status bar and the send/receive progress box. It is trying to send 3 messages yesterday and today 4 messages, but it failed. The error appear as below

Task 'IntimexTC - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 550 mailformed address <>

Can you help me to address thi
