sending mail

Im not able to send mail it just started a couple days ago. this is the
message im getting

The connection to the server failed
Account:'pop-sever.stny.rr.com',sever:'Stmp-server.stny.rr.com', Protocol:
SMTP,Port:25 Secure(SSL):No,SocketError:10061
Error Number 0X800CCC0E
 
Are you connected to Roadrunner when this happens?
Are you able to do other internet things?
As a fellow RR customer, I always suspect RR first.
I assume the "stmp-server...." is a typo, it should be "SMTP-server...."
 
yes we are connected to rr, and yes we can do other things as connected. The
stmp was indeed a typo. so are you thinking we need to contact our rr server?
 
Don't paraphrase the error message, give us an exact copy.
I can't tell if the typos below exist in the actual settings.
 
Check with Road Runner for the correct port and security settings.

Go into Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - servers
check your server names to see if there is a typo...

try to send a message.
If you get an error message, right-click on the message and select Copy
Then reply to this this post, and paste the message here.
 
No, it's not. For example, the word Server is misspelled "sever".
