Sending incoming faxes to local e-mail box

I was able to get this to work with Lotus Notes.
However, it is not consistent. I have read KB256654,
KB246151 but cannot seem to get it to run consistently.
When I attempt to stop/start the Fax service, sometimes
the process to restart hangs. Also, I have tried to
switch the Fax Service logon account to System and my
domain account (which is in the Local Administrators
group). When I see my MAPI profile in the Send to local e-
mail box drop down, I am able to select it. But when I
click on apply/OK, the PC hangs for an infinite time or
until I reboot or disable the modem.

Has anyone been able to have this work consistently and if
so with Lotus Notes, Outlook, Exchange?
