Do you have the email account set up to match their instructions?

They're changing some things related to their merger with AT&T; perhaps the
changes aren't right yet.

If you get any error message(s) when you try to send, please post them so we
have at least a remote idea of what the problem might be.

Yes it is set up correctly. It's strange that when I go home and hook up my
laptop to my router all my messages that are holding in outbox are
automatically sent. Other wise I recieve the following error message below.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: [SPAM] Follow-up on
Proposal', Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number:
0x800CCC0E

Port 25 is often blocked when the message crosses some other provider's
lines before it gets to the mail server.

If you are trying to send thru your Bellsouth account, then you have to be
connected to Bellsouth's network.

Hmmm..I asked the tech that question and he said no I didn't have to be
connected to BS network..

Just to clarify...
You are using the same laptop computer with Windows Mail at home (ISP =
BellSouth) and at work (ISP=???)

If you don't have to be on the BS network, then they require authentication
to verify that you are a customer...
please look at the following instructions, especially #16

Authentication won't help if the service providing his non-Bellsouth
connection is blocking off-network connections on port 25, as most do.

Whoever you're connected to may be blocking port 25 as a spam fighting
measure. Bell South probably has a different port and authentication method
for such cases.

Correct. Any SMTP service that uses a port other than 25 should work.
