Just to clarify...
You are using the same laptop computer with Windows Mail at home (ISP = BellSouth) and at work (ISP=???)
If you don't have to be on the BS network, then they require authentication to verify that you are a customer...
please look at the following instructions, especially #16

Hmmm..I asked the tech that question and he said no I didn't have to be
connected to BS network..
:
If you are trying to send thru your Bellsouth account, then you have to be
connected to Bellsouth's network.
Yes it is set up correctly. It's strange that when I go home and hook up
my
laptop to my router all my messages that are holding in outbox are
automatically sent. Other wise I recieve the following error message
below.
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: [SPAM] Follow-up on
Proposal', Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error
Number:

:
I have a bellsouth POP dsl account and I can only recieve but can't send
from
windows mail.. I've been on the phone with bellsouth tech support all
morning.. all they've come up with is that my window mail is corrupt..
Is
there another way to fix this issue??
thanks!
Do you have the email account set up to match their instructions?

They're changing some things related to their merger with AT&T; perhaps
the
changes aren't right yet.
