Sending forms externally

Hi all,

I'm new to Outlook forms so apologies if this is a dumb question. :-)

I've created a new form in Outlook XP (2002?) for our users that is
used to collate information regarding a support call which is then
sent off to an external companies helpdesk.

The form has a drop down box from which the user selects there own
name, and there are text boxes with due by dates and importance.
There is also (on the read pane) a large text label telling the
helpdesk how to process the call.

Problem is that none of these form items such as text boxes or labels
appear on the message when it is received externally. It all works
fine when sent to anyone internally.

Both companies are using MS Exchange.

The form is published to a folder available to all.

Any ideas?

Please post to only 1 or 2 groups. No need to flood everyone.

Is the email being sent in RTF format with no form description being
encapsulated in the email? RTF is required and many EX servers are set to
not send RTF over the Internet. Make sure the server setting doesn't convert
the RTF and lets it out and that the email address for the contacts that are
receiving the emails are also set to send in RTF format.
 
Ok thanks, it works fine now.

Is it best to get the end user to publish to their outbox or personal
forms lib?

Hello Ken,

Yes the message is in RFT format and once published to their forms
lib was received ok.

I posted to 5 groups, all in the microsoft.public... tree. I hardly
call that a flood. :-)

It must be published in the Personal Forms library. Publishing to the Outbox
won't do you any good at all.
