I have just installed a SpeedCom+ internal modem

The problem I have is that I can't send fax's, I have received a couple
already but I can't send them. When I try to send I get a message come up
that the number is busy, which is not the case

How can I send a fax, What should the settings be for a 56k modem?

Help it's driving me mad

What software are you using? And what operating system? Are you using
something like WinFax, Bitfax, or Microsofts built in fax?

Here's the info you asked for

What software are you using? Fax tools (It was on the cd that came with my
Lexmark all in one)

And what operating system? XP home

The modem is SpeedCom+ internal
Also connected to the net with broadband...... could that cause any
problems?

can you manually dial then send? I don't have that option with the
software.

I think it's the modem, when it dials the number there's two beep's like
it's connected then cuts off.... May be the settings?

I seem to have it working, forgot to set up the fax thing in the printer/fax
folder in control panel.... I feel so stupid now if it works
