When I click on internet explorer, I get one of those
messages that asks me if i want to send an error report to
microsoft. I click on it and nothing has come back, Does
anyone know what is causing this problem? It will not let
me open internet explorer, what is going on?

Jason,

To test with: Disable third-party browser extensions in Internet Explorer
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

If this helps, read here for further troubleshooting:

Ramesh, It worked. my second computer, on same router
that never had the problem has that box checked. When I
unchecked on the problem computer it "fixed" the problem.
Thanks!!

Ric,

It's just a workaround. When you uncheck the option, you are telling IE not to load the plugins. Nice to see that has helped, but you need to eliminate the malware completely.

Using ToolbarCop to remove the unwanted Toolband, Toolbar Icons and BHO:

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate the malware products.
*Update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware *
