sending email

Hi Bob

A couple of things to check

Is your cable ISP the same as your e-mail ISP? If not then the "new" mail
server might not like re-directing mail (most don't) Any error messages
when you try to send?

Also check that you have set up the "connection" page in teh account
properties to use the new cable connection.

If you can still receive but can't send then I suspect the first problem
might be the cause in which case try editing the account settings on the
"server" tab and putting your new cable ISP mail server address into the
SMTP (outgoing) box (something like mail.myisp.com or smtp.myisp.com. in
place of your "old" ISP ) (don't change the POP3 setting for incoming mail)
Not a solution which your ISP will support but it works surprisingly often
:-)

If you havn't changed ISP's (havn't been given a new e-mail address or user
name etc.) then look for a mail config file on their cable support pages.

Good luck

David
